Pretty Speedy Order/Delivery Brown 6.7

I placed order for Kodiak Brown 350 Lariat 6.7 on 4/22. The Build date was May 13 - Usually build date is the week of - But it was on the train the 14th.

The train goes to Kirby Tx (San Antonio) and offloads Sunday the 19th - Car Empty 10AM Monday May 20th..

Got to my dealer in Austin yesterday - Had some dealer installed items today the 22nd ( B&W, spray in Bedliner ,Nfab Steps etc.) ready this afternoon by 3pm and pick up thursday morning...

One month and a day! sounds like a record to me...

Will post some pictures after I get it - (Or it didn't really happen I guess)

Congrats Byram !

Well they DO know what the state truck of TexUS is so we get preferential treatment !!!

I was reading how the build and it makes sense that they 'group' similar trucks together on the line so they don't have to change the line for each truck...

Maybe they were JUST grouping your type as your order hit and you made it first pass !

and yes, pics or you are a great big story teller

Congrats! Mine was four weeks and two days, and I'm in Michigan. I was concerned mine would take longer than six weeks cause mine was a172" wheelbase truck, which apparently counts as two spots on the trains/ trucks.

I'm interested in how you feel about the NFabs. I have a set but I'm curious about how you feel about them.

Not so much problems but I'm not real thrilled with them. A tad too small for foot steps and can be slippery. They also seem like they'd be better if they were moved back about 6" (this would require drilling new holes though). I got them because they were all I could find that would give me access to the tool box on this tall truck. Since then I saw Westin makes a full length running board that would have also worked. I wish Ranch Hand still made full length boards but apparently they don't.

You will learn & train yourself where to step, it's the passengers & kiddos (if you have any) that will make you worried. Mostly the slippery part.

Congrats on the new truck, did you trade in the 2011 in your sig?

Yea - trading the 2011... Stealership was fair - then I tried to craigslist it for a few days - mostly scammers answered except for a couple that couldn't make it work in my timeframe...

fyi, is this the kind of step we are talking about ?

Bully AS-550 Truck Bed Side Step : Amazon.com : Automotive Bully AS-550 Truck Bed Side Step : Amazon.com : Automotive

I got one for my 2012 250 and it was a complete waste of time and money...
it's too short since the side bows out, it's too far forward, there are no hand holds, it's slippery, adds dead weight....

but other than that it's perfect and I love it NOT !!!

Here's mine installed, not the best pic but everybody will know what to avoid. I'm wanting to buy one of the Amp rear folding steps but haven't had the need yet.

Hey Byram, what kind of mileage were you getting in the gasser? I almost went that route.
