77 f-350 dually lug centric to hub centric rim swap

I bought a set of rims that came off a 96 f-350 with the same bolt pattern but I have no idea how to keep them centered. If anyone knows how to solve this problem or what year rims were lug centric please let me know. Thanks

Hello br42164 and welcome to FTE.

When you have hub-centric rims, you have to be very specific about the application. You either get rims that fit your hub, or you get very expensive adapters that let you mount the rims in a hub-centric manner.

This video is an Excursion, but you get the idea.

Thanks for the reply Redford.Sounds like I need to find someone to unload these hub centric rims I have and try to find a one peice rim that is an exact fit for a 77 f-350 dually thats not a split ring rim.Do you or anyone know what year one peice rim that will fit my truck. All these pictures you see of trucks with one peice rims can't all be for just show, again thanks for any info you can give me.

What the one piece rims you see use to center is conical lug nuts. That is, they have a conical base that centers the lug in the hole. You're certainly free to use that method, just be aware of the information in the video. Your hub is no longer carrying the truck weight, but your lugs (which were not designed to carry the truck weight) are shouldering the load.

My old truck has a dump bed and I plan on carrying some weight in it at times so I may have to stay with the old split ring rims to be on the safe side. I looked at wheel adapters but I don't know if that's the way to go either.
