Dropped spindles with Heidts...TOO LOW?

I was talking with a vendor today asking some questions about suspension and the subject of the 2 in dropped spindles with the Heidts SuperRide II front end came up...he asked what the truck would be used for and I told him cruising/and shows and he told me that I might want to avoid the dropped spindles cause it might make it ride TOO LOW.......REALLY?!
Can someone who HAS the dropped spindles give me THEIR opinion please....
Thanks

I have a Volare front end and bought the Fatman 2" drop spindles. Now here's just my 2cents: LOVE the stance, ride is good, and I drive mine frequently in Houston(roads aren't good) with some issues. Pulling into my drive or other steep entrances if not going at an angle tend to scrape my front fenders, (I'm use to going at angles because my Vette is lowered too, sometimes forget though)angle at speed bumps too. The other is scraping gas tank on speed bumps. The PO also put a U shaped crossmember, when hitting consecutive bumps, tend to hit the crossmember. Would I do it again, maybe if I moved the gas tank and changed the crossmember. I just changed front shocks,so I'm hoping it'll take out some of the roll effect. Sorry for being so long, just giving my $550 opinion. L8R ZFLASH

I recently purchased a no limit ifs and I was also recommended by them not to get the drop spindles , so I didn't. I hope I'm happy with the stance.

Here's my 2cts. Drop spindles make it look great, but it's a pain to drive. I have a Mustang IFS without the drop and it still has a good stance and high enough to drive over speed bumps etc.

My suggestion would be to first use stock spindles. Don't know where you are located [why not] but I have a pair you could use then buy the dropped later if you like. I used dropped spindles with taller springs on my 46 coupe and got a great stance and ride. I agree with Zflash on ride height with Volare with droped spindles which I also have on my 53 F100. Although I have no issues with fenders dragging, I have managed to smooth off the bottom of the bumper bolts. I think I have more clearance maybe due to tire size.

Keep in mind the SuperRide IFS is designed with drop built in. Personally, I'd start with the mfg's recommendation. The folks at Heidts know their stuff. If you really and truly hate it later, spindles are easy to swap. My 2c.
