Build Update

Yes it has been awhile since I updated but until recently not a whole lot has been done except sanding cutting replacing and shaping. Slow process but the body is in progress of doing the final clean up steps getting bondo and primer. I will post as I move along and I hope to have it in paint by October!!!! Check out the pictures below.

Added the rear bed extension from MF rather than doing the roll pan with the rounded lower corners and also the tear drops.

Big back window panel from MF.

Bed getting smoothed out, finally

Down to metal and still a lot of little work left to do

PO'S attempt at hood repair

With the parts from MF this is the better way to accomplish hood repair. Nose skin will be welded in. All new under panel and end plates.

The big back window is going to be awesome! I definitely want to do that one day in the future. Congratulations on all of the progress, it's looking great.

BJMayberry2, It wasn't to bad to get the panel in for the Big Back. A little nervous at first but fairly easy. One thing as in most aftermarket steal, you need to modify and caress some areas.

Hey Jay,
Your truck looks great! I'm surprised that you didn't get more flash rust as you brought it down to bare steel as Ventura is right on the coast with fog.
Why are you putting it up for 6 months? You are so close.

Are you planning to paint it in your garage? I'll look for you driving around when I'm out in Santa Barbara in March.
