1972 ford f350

I just bought a 1972 ford f350 4x4. I was told the truck is all original but have never seen one before this. this might be a dumb question but was 4x4 actually an option or might have the person converted it to 4x4 and lied.I appreciate any help I might get.

It was converted to a 4x4.First year for a 4x4 F350 was 1979.

Post up some pics and we can try and figure out what you have...

Lets see some pics of it!

Is it a aftermarket 4x4 by Marmon-Harrington or NAPCO or a do it yourself 4x4 by a shade tree mechanic?

Caveat emptor!

Always be skeptical of the sellers' claims. That's why ya gotta do your own homework before putting down your hard earned cash.

It's too late for that now so now decode the VIN and other data plate info for your new truck.

Thanks for your guys help I went and decoded the vin and found out it is a 1972 ford f250 4x4 and I think it is a sport custom trim but not 100% shure.I am a little disappointed in that it isn't a f350 but i still love it. Thankfully i am only in it 1300.00 but thankfully it runs almost like a swiss watch. here are some photos of it that I took before I paid the guy. do you guys know where I can get good shape original trim and emblem pieces?I can't wait to get started on restoring this truck.

If it runs as good as it looks you stole it for $1300...
