SAS question

I have been reading up on sas swaps for my 150.I have seen numerous people move the axel 1/2 in to 1in forward. Do I really need to do this I plan on running 35s or 36s.Also, whats the difference between ttb coil springs and solid coil springs.

I have not done a F150 so I don't know the specifics involved but on my other SASs I always move the axle forward for tire clearance. I went 3" forward on my 91 Explorer. For 35" tire you could probably leave it where it is but you're better off getting more clearance.

TTB coil springs are much stiffer than coils for a solid axle, the ride will be harsh.
