2002 F350 V10 with supercharger

Hey im looking at a 2002 F350 V10 with supercharger about 60k miles, can these engines handle the supercharger? Anything I should look for when buying?

I have seen many V10s with super charger and I don't see any reason why it won't handle it. I don't know of anybody on FTE with a V10 supercharged other then a guy with an excursion he signs as Gary in Alaska or Canada I forgot which one but forgot his username. Look for the regular things when looking at a vehicle and it should be ok. I am not sure I can find the username or not of that user but will try.

I think the bottom ends can't handle high psi, but if its a basically stock truck you shouldn't have much issue. Finding the right temp spark plug may become an issue

when whipple made a supercharger kit. It didn't include injector or anthing. Just a programer. The whipple replaced the part of stock intake . i have the instruction book on PDF. if needed

I would also check other running gear internals, such as the diffs....and even the drivelines. Remember that the supercharger is gonna be higher strains on everything from the bellhousing back.....

Find out what gears are in it. See if they were actually changed for a steeper set of gears or if the stockers were left. Some guys will forget about the gears and throw on a supercharger.

It looks like a nice truck however will be a money pit both in premium fuel, tires and parts. A lifted truck with big tires like that often wears out part much faster than a close to stock truck.

I would also expect the trans to live a short life especially with improper tuning, mods and cooling. On a stock bottom end for everyday use 5-6 pounds max is good for a "roots" type supercharger.

Looks clean and has a lot of $$$ dumped into it just be aware you gotta pay to play.

Yeah been there done that just check the sig. It wouldn't be my dd I have a fj cruiser as well. Just want something cool and for hunting stuff like that and some offroad fun.

It is a sweet lookin rig. I already have an 06 that is lifted and decked out pretty good. It would seem like going backwards to go to the 2v motor.
