I need major help, brake, clutch pedals

Hey there guys, I have a 1954 F-100. I was dumb and tossed out most of brake/clutch parts. I found the clutch pedal and the long rod that it swings on. I was planning on getting a new brake booster anyways because the old one was shot and leaky. Can anyone take pics of their trucks, of the pedal assembly on the underside of the truck? Thanks

Steve

Steve,

I'd like to sell the complete pedal assembly out of my 48 if you are interested. I'm going with a hanging pedal. I'm not sure if it's the same as your 54 or not though. If you are interested drop me an email (New_Hampshire_Yankee@Yahoo.com).

Note: The F-3 pedal assembly WILL NOT fit a F-1. The parts will interchange but the bolt holes are farther apart.

I assume that you're sticking with a manual trans.

But if you're not,I went with an auto and I'm using the clutch pedal on the left side of my steering column as the brake pedal with a frame mounted booster.

I can get pics if you or anyone is interested.

yes, get me some pics PLEASE!

As for bolt holes, the frame is boxed now, so i'll have to do some changing of the brackets and such. and yes, im staying with manual tranny, from a 90 mustang.

I have some pictures I took when I disassembled my pedal pivot assembly. Do you have a fast connection? I have about ten pictures (800k each) that should be helpful. Let me know.

Hi Steve,

Once you get the pics from Kevin, the illustrations below might help with some of the details. Good luck.

So the linkage to the clutch fork, is a rod? LOL

When the truck had the Flathead with 3spd, the guy had rigged up a wire setup...I wondered why it looked sorta half assed. Also what is a good kit to get because I'm using a disc brakes on the front drums on the back? I don't beleive the stock brake booster will do the job.

Fat Fendered Ford, yes I do.

Thanks for the other pics!

I updated my web site with more pictures of the pedal shaft disassembly process. For some reason, the url gets mangled when I try to post a hyperlink in my message.

You'll have to follow the link below to my web site and use the link on my home page.

Enjoy!

Hey Kevin,

I just wanted to see if the URL gets mangled when I try to post it using the newfangled http:// button. Let's see if this works. Give it a try and if you get the right page, I'll try to remember how I did it.
