Starter solenoid part number

Found a spare solenoid in my parts stash to replace the NFG one that was on my truck. There is no part number on the bottom of the solenoid. Anyone have the part number for the 6v, 1949 positive ground half ton? I'd like to get a spare on hand for the next time I need one.
Thanks for any help,
Greg M-47

21A-11450 used on all trucks thru '51. I'd be cautious tho, many are made in China as repros and sold as replacing that, but they lack the button on the bottom, and are inferior inside (copper costs many yuan)

Basically all 48-51 F series uses the same one. The one your looking for is the metal one with the button #01A-11450 The original # that Ford used was 21A-11450, but that is now sold as the 'bakelite' type w/o the button.

01A-11450 = CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 928 = 800-476-9653.

01A was replaced by 21A in 1942.

The tractor ones with the button are less than half the price of those for the trucks. The only difference that I have seen is that they mount to the starter and the mount is on the top, rather than the back.

Th metal type with or without the button on the bottom are still available from the repro parts places. There's also a version with the FoMoCo script.
