1956 F100 tire question

Hey everyone,
Right now I am running 255/60/15 all the way around on stock set up. A bit of a drag on the arms for the front. I have looked through the threads and have seen people running 235/75/15 on their trucks and I'm wondering if this is just a straight swap? I've got a set of 1965 Ford 15 inch steel rims with the 235 size tire on them now just sitting in my yard I bought off a guy for $25 bucks that I was thinking about throwing on. Any help or idea's would be appreciated.

I'm running 235/75's all around and no issues, great tires. I am also using the same type rims as the '65's.

I agree with Albuq, 235's are the way to go. Good size and nice ride. I also try to stick with tire sizes/brands that are "more common" i.e. available at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon instead of less common sizes that may have to be ordered from the "warehouse". Good luck!

Thank you teardropty for your input too. I had not considered the "more common" brands but will now!

If you have the original 16 inch wheels you can use 215/85/16s. These are about the size of the larger old 6.50-16 tires.
