Looking to buy CC LB F350 can't decide what year

Hey guys,
Ill be in the market for a bigger truck in a month or so and I have decide what I want except for one thing.... What year to get.
Looking for a CC LB F350 lariat fx4 preferably.

I have it down to 06-07 or 08-09

Ill start by saying I like the interior of the 08-09 better but now that no one sells a DPF delete programmer for the 6.4 any more it makes me not want it due to the ****ty fuel mileage with the emissions crap still on the truck.

So that leads me to the 06-07. Which was my original choice. But there is the 6.0 which seems to be hit and miss on getting a good one. And it doesn't have the power the 6.4 does. Getting harder to find at the dealers now.

So my question I guess is what would you guys do?

Is there any way to make the 6.4 more fuel efficient wih the dpf still on there?

Any help is appreciated.

Stock to stock, id say a 6.0 and 6.4 both have pretty good power... tuned/deleted, the 6.4 is definitely more powerful, but the 6.0 is still a rocket ship

You can still get dpf delete tuning, just gotta search around, already ways around it like buying the tuner and having different tuning put on it

How would a person go about gettin a tuner set up for the dpf delete? I'd like to go with the 6.4. The Dpf was the only thing holding me back.

Also when I go looking for a truck I know what to look for with the 6.0 but is there anything I should pay attention to with the 6.4?

Thanks! There's big fines now if the dpf is deleted isn't there?

I just can't decide between the two 6.0 or 6.4 lol

I haven't heard of anyone around where I live being fined, but I'm sure it will come it that someday. Ya, thats going to be a tough choice, if you are going to delete the egr/dpf I would lean towards the 6.4 personally.

Check out the 6.4 forum!!
My brother-in-law bought a used f350 drw to haul his boat, he was surprised of the poor mileage of the 6.4, he traded for a 6.0 and i am helping him program his sg2....

The poor mileage was another issue I had with the 6.4
The only thing it seems to have going for it is that I like the Interror much better but ill have to get over that part. Stupid emissions crap messing with good trucks lol

well i made the leap and bought a 06
2006 f350 lariat, 98,000km. Good set of 33-12.5 mud tires on rims, 6" lift, 4" turbo back to dual exhaust, air raid intake, bushwacker fender flares, 5th wheel hitch, Firestone airbags with compressor and In cab controls.

Not a scratch or dent on it either. One small rock chip on the front bumper.
