1954 Ford F250 rear end and driveshaft questions

I've got a 1954 Ford F-250 I'm attempting to modernize a bit. I plan on putting a Late 60s 390 + 4 speed in it. Should bolt right in with a 330 bell housing and front timing cover/mount. The issue I'm having is that my current rear end is no good. The gears are junk and it has been partially taken apart. I have a ton of later model 3/4 tons ranging from the 60s-2000s. What would be a good rear end to use? I don't mind moving spring perches but I don't want to do any huge modifications. And also is there any particular gear ratio I should look for? Basically a play toy so I'm not too particular about what I stick in it.

Thanks for any help!

a Dana 60 out of a 1972 or earlier 3/4 ton is a direct bolt on. Some people have said they had to modify the driveshaft slightly, but not by much. Hope that's of some help. I put a Dana 60 out of a 68 f-250 under my 52 f-3, ended up with a factory locker and 3.54 gears. I'm now in the process of tracking down parts to convert over to rear disc brakes as well

Ok cool thanks for the info.

Another question is my truck has non-split 17" rims. Are these decent rims or should I find some newer 16" rims?
