zf6 flywheel spacers

I'm talking about the spacer ring that goes around the bolts. The question i have is does one go in front of the flywheel and one go in back of the flywheel???

Just one. Goes under the bolt heads.

what about an automatic?? i have 2 engines i pulled one auto one manual. But i have 3 of those spacers laying on the garage floor.
