The exhaust housing has to be machined to fit the A3000 exhaust wheel for it to work.

That or you just order your A3K with the "IDI" exhaust housing. Racin has the parts i guess, my mistake.

Those housings are the ones we are using and must be machined to fit the A3000.

Allan and I are the only ones with 093 A3K's right now, NMB2's turbo is a 63/68 S300 .85 nongated housing. I have pricing ready to go for new ATS A3K 093 kits, with new castings, only thing im waiting on is to test it out on my truck and see if it lives up to all the glory.
I can't drive it. I can't make it out of the driveway.

The A3K is right up my alley. Bolt on without fabbing. I don't have any fab skills with metal.

So are you getting the A3k direct from ATS? Is it the 7.3 power stroke package and swapping idi exhaust housing? If not then what? I'm planning a build and am trying to source everything.

R&D IDI Performance(racinndrummin) is putting together the A3K kit you see in this thread. you can search under his username for the idi turbocharger thread. in that thread he outlines what all is going on with the A3k for our use.

EDIT: here is the thread i spoke of....https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-thread-3.html

No, you CAN NOT get any IDI parts from ATS, They dont sell them. There are a couple of us out there who deal with the ATS IDI parts, because WE are the ones who can handle it, and of the stuff we supply, much if it was purchased NOS stuff in bulk, and the rest of it is a very limited supply that only we have access to, because we have a better framework to supply the IDI crowd.

The IDI A3K kit is basically the same kit as the A2K kit (the last kit ATS produced for the IDI), but it features the A3K instead of the A2K Turbo. Some other slight differences, but thats the gist.

If anybody has any questions about the A3K stuff, just post them in the Turbocharger thread that 94 just linked to... This conversation is cluttering up Allans thread, and would be better suited in that thread.

Just alittle update, the engine is now back in the truck. Now I can start hooking things up and finish fabricating things that need to be made.

It was just on temporarily on the engine stand for mock up. Easier to drop into the truck with it off. It is aready back on and sealed up.
