Flairside Rear License Plate Bracket

Does anyone know where to find one? I was rear-ended and have all the replacment parts except the bracket. Yes I straightened it fairly well, but it is in rough shape. I have tried ebay, looked at all the vender catalogs but can't find the matching bracket. The one LMC sells is totally wrong. It looks similar to the styleside bumperless bracket, but is longer.

Any Ford parts guys that can help. I was told obsolete, but if I had a number maybe Green or someone else has one.

Thanks
Kenny

You don't need a part number to contact Green Sales, just tell 'em what you want.

You are the man Numberdummy! Thanks a ton. I have been rounding up NOS parts for the rebuild, all my chrome except bumpers will be new (I have most of it), and I can bear the thought of keeping the old bent/straightened bracket on there.

Digging in old posts and wonder if anyone has any current info on these license plate brackets? I have been asking at salvage yards and no luck so far.

Thank you

Yes, but it was an older post and the referenced locations I was able to check showed they were no longer available . Were you referring to a specific section that might be worthwhile? I was just hoping maybe someone had come across a place to find some or had a good substitute.

I just checked a couple other sites, with no luck.

Do you have one you can use as a model or can repair?
I had to repair mine. I can get you photos if you need to make one..

I knew it was a shot in the dark to ask but this forum has lots of resources!

A closer photo would be great. I may just try and make something up. Always like original pieces where I can, but may have to improvise this time.

Jumpdummy,
Awesome offer! That's the cool thing about this forum, people helping people keep the trucks we love on the road! Do you have any close up pics of the rear of your truck? My bumper seems to be too far away from the bed. I would like to tighten up the gap some.

The only way the bumper could be too far out is you have the wrong brackets.
all the way from the 1950's the brackets "look" the same, but under closer analysis they are different. The '79 style is different that the '80"s including the holes in the bumper.
Is it possible you have a '79 style bumper and brackets?
