Hey yall. im restoring my 83 F-100. im running into an issue with the truck stance. the back end on the passenger side is sitting a couple inches lower than the drivers side. ive looked at the leaf springs and they don't look broken but I also havnt taken them off and looked at them. should I just find some springs off a 3/4 ton and see what happens?

 

They don't have to be broken to sag, they could be just worn out. Also, breaks (or even cracks) might not be seen until the spring pack is pulled apart.

I believe 3/4 ton springs won't fit. You'll need a new set of F100 or F150 4x2 springs. 4x4 springs are an inch wider and also will not fit.

 

ok thanks I will throw some new springs on it then(F-100) ones I guess. I didn't know 3/4 wouldn't fit. I have a loaner truck in a salvage yard that looks to have good ones.

 

If you had a 4x4 F150, then yes 3/4 ton or 1 ton springs would fit, because they're all 2.5" wide, while 2wd F100-150 springs are 2" wide.
