Stirrup Steps for F250 HD

I recently purchased a '97 F250 HD. I'd like to add stirrup steps (not nerf bars - just a simple step), but it doesn't look like there are any made specifically for that truck. There are a few "universal" fit, like Bully, but it's not clear that they work on the HD series. Has anyone installed a stirrup step on a '97 HD and how well did they fit? What brad and part no. did you use?

Thanks in advance.

It shouldn't matter if it's a 97 HD. Just find a fit for a 92-96 F-Series. Most parts manufacturers that make parts for these trucks just say 92-96, since the 97 F-2/350's are basically the same.

The 97 F250 HD was the same as the 96 down. Ford didn't build a 98 F250 HD the new model was a 99.
So if you have the 97 that looks just like the 92-96 your OK.

Those steps can be very destructive to the rocker panels on these trucks.

Those are FAR from the best step on these trucks, the Rocker is just then sheet metal that they bolt to with No bracing

the Bully AS-200 steps come with bracing(I cant drill holes in my truck) that bolt through cab rocker, not side loading rocker like other steps

That upper brace doesn't do much to prevent the rocker from being stressed and twisted. They can keep it.

agreed. those steps will tear the rocker off over time. if the step does not mount to the frame, it should not be put on the truck.
