Original Shock Color?

We're restoring a '66 F100 where I work and we want to paint the shocks back the original color. Anyone know what they looked like from the factory? The replacement shocks came painted similar to the Dark Ford Blue that's on the engine.

my 63 f250 still has the original ford script shocks on it and they are/were black.

not sure if they changed color by 66 though.

Thanks, I'm not sure if they were different or not, I'm assuming that F250's would use stiffer shocks than F100's though. The shocks that were on it were the same color blue as the new ones. I didn't think to check to see if they were original shocks or replacements before we trashed them. They had been on for awhile, judging by their looks.

Black is the original color. When FoMoCo introduced Motorcraft in 1973, the shocks were blue.
