Thanks for the complements Chuck. You should check out some of the "real" build threads on FTE. There is some crazy cool stuff. I'll post some links on the "one page" thread.

Thanks Shawn, I'm glad you liked it. I'll work on the truck, take pics and by the time I get on the computer to make an update I'm ready to...

Love the redneck frame straightening
Thanks Steve, it took a lot of beer and syferin' to convince myself it would work. I should have titled the video "redneck frame straightening"

I think I saw a video with that title, the guy had an S10 chained to a tree.

Thanks for all the complements guys!

Ive been involved in auto body and heavy collision for over 30 years, ive straightened frames in many different and strange ways, i have owned my own collision center with a top of the line BLACK HAWK frame machine but, i havent never, EVER, seen anyone use a flat bed trailer. As long as it works, DO IT! Nice truck, work looks awesome, keep the pic's coming.

Yes Roy. When I work it's like a tornado went thru and when I wake up I'm done and don't remember all the steps I took. I'm messy but effective. Gavin here is a true pro, really impressed.

I was in Sparta, il last week, haven't been up by you in a while. Some day I hope....

Gavin, this project is incredible. The time and talent that you are putting into this project are truly amazing. You have great attention to detail. Your skills are impressive. As others have mentioned, the fact that you can do all of this AND keep your shop and tractor spotless is quite a feat. Keep it up.

Really nice work and documentation...i really like the frame straightening technique - simple and effective.

Also nice fix on the damper spacer sleeve.

I wish I would have started out using chassis black. That's another lesson learned. I will on the next truck.

Thanks Bud! I got the idea from watch a guy on Youtube use a machine that looked like a heavy trailer frame. I couldn't get over how easy it was to move the frame once it was tied down and how much I had to over bend it.

Hi Joel! Thanks for the complements buddy. I can destroy my shop in an afternoon and then it takes two day to clean up.
Let me know if you're gonna be in Urbana and I'll buy you lunch.

Well done Gavin
Thanks for the update.
Keep up the great work.
Isn't it amazing how time disappears, when you go to the shop to get something done on your favorite project ??

All of you are only making his head swell more!

J/K neighbor!

Love the photos of the progress you are making. It was worth all the time and effort to find this jewel in the rough, eh?
