Wanted: 6.9/7.3 idi parts

First off, I'm looking for the alternator wiring harness for an 83-86 ford diesel. The alternator wiring harness has the needed wiring for a tach, the reason I need it.

I am also looking for the serpentine belt pulleys off of a 7.3 idi diesel. I think they started serpentine setups in 92.

Nope, nope it doesnt, the tach just goes from the tach sensor on top of the IP housing to the 2 wires in the dash that are not included on a non tach dash. How do I know? I did the swap, and I swapped a 3g alternator in so I cut the wiring harness off except the green wire. I was surprised there wasn't more to it but I fired it up the first time and its been working ever since.

good info thanks, i actually bought an aftermarket tach the other day...hopefully i can wire it up easily

would you be interested in a whole engine?

im going to be picking up a 88 f250 with a 7.3 and 5 speed trans.

2wd truck. i havn't heard it run yet but will be going over it before bringing it home, the guy says it will start right up without issue.

he parked it due to the the clutch pedal bracket breaking on him.
