This is mine.
The Ford DPF-R is designed to be a fully reversible and temporary DPF delete for trucks equipped with DPF filters. Included are the DPF delete electronics only. For additional power you must run a module in conjunction with this unit.
Features:
Exhaust/EGR Notes: Exhaust “Bungs” are not required. Factory exhaust sensors must be in good working order and remain connected to factory wiring harness. Connected sensors can be routed out of the way or re-installed into test pipe. When using the Ford DPF-R it is recommended that an EGR Delete or EGR Blocker Plate is installed.

That's true. My tranny was not designed to crank up the hp. I have the juice with attitude, but it's stays on level one. Level 4 is 100 hp. I bought this tuner for all the safety features.

I had an Edge evolution "racing" tuner on for 10,000 miles or so. I ran it at the lowest setting which as I recall was +35 HP. Toward the end of the 10,000 miles my tranny would delay into drive from park or into reverse from park. I drove it that way for a while and then took it to the Ford dealer. dealer said it was within specs, no problem. That just didn't seem to ring true to me. I've driven a lot of automatics in my life time and I'm old, but I don't remember one delaying that much. So, I was ready for a tranny flush anyway and had that done. It still delayed so I took it to a friend of a friend and for $85 he assured me it was "border line". I was ready for a new tuner by then and got an H&S which does tune the tranny. After a period of time with the new tuner the tranny fixed itself and now has no abnormal delay. So, to the OP, maybe you just need to stay on the stock tune and give it some time. Or try having it flushed which is a bit pricey but called for at 60,000 on my truck. I don't know if the flush or the new tuner or something else caused the tranny to self repair but I'm glad it did. This is of course not hi tech advice but it did work for me.
