ever notice....

anyone else ever notice that ford gets more crap than the other truck makers do? it would seem that people are jealous cause ford was first and is the best. i love it when people say no they aren't cause i ask them what the towing capacity of a new chevy or dodge 1 ton heavy duty is and point out that it is lower than the f350 superduty (until the '14 dodge ram 3500 hd comes out with a 30,000 pound capacity) or how much power their new diesel makes (again until the new cummins comes out)

It is simply because Ford has been the number one selling truck for 36 years.... look at all the Chevy and dodge commercials who do they try to bring down of course Ford lol..... what i love about the ford commercials is the are no BS they usually just state the facts like horse and torque because its more than chev or dodge

P.S. Chevy - "longest lasting most dependable truck on the road" id like to see the proof of that LMFAO

come on guys you know it's true. 90% of the chevy trucks ever sold are still on the road today....the other 10% actually ran long enough to make it to their new owner's homes!! hahaha

Around me there's about as many Chevy guys as there are Ford guys. Hardly anybody has a Dodge. Even less guys have Dodge's on their first tranny. I like that not everybody has a Ford. Keeps hobby's competitive. Also, just mention bailout money to anybody that's trying to put Ford down.

But a lot of you guys are right on. When you're number 1 and other companies are trying to take that spot, you gotta do a little mud slinging to make yourself look good. Personally, I think my Ford looks good with a little mud on it.

I can't imagine Ford (or GM, either) having a worse rep than Dodge. It sucked so bad they don't even call them Dodge anymore. They're not fooling me with that Ram stuff though.

I love the "looks pretty good for a ford" comment. Lots of Chevy guys here but lots of fords too, I've driven both and picked what I like more.

Usually it's the other way around for me. I work for the Kansas City Royals as a parking attendant so I see a lot of pick up trucks every day. I'm usually trash talking on other trucks if they're not fords. My buddy has a 92 chevy that he bought SS badges for, yet he put a V6 in it . My boss has a 2012 Fiat Ram that I like clown on (gotta admit it's a nice truck though), and Toyotas, rice jokes galore. It's all in good fun though. I don't hate Chevys or Fiats or Rice Haulers. Everybody likes to be part of a rivalry, honestly the only people I see taking it seriously are some of the Chevy guys. They're kind of like Oakland Raider fans. They try to convince themselves that their team is the best by trying to convince everyone else.

Have you ever owned a Dodge truck? My 99 Dodge is the best truck I have ever owned. I have less issues with it than any Ford or Chevy I have owned.
But I hope more people feel like you because I will be able to continue to buy them cheap with low miles.
The reason they changed their name is when Fiat bought them the trucks were set apart to build only trucks, Dodge has used the name Ram for years so they named their truck only division Ram.

Yes, I owned a Dodge truck once. ***ONCE*** Biggest POS that ever rolled out of Detroit. But that isn't what bothered me, they all make a lemon now and then. It was the way Chrysler jerked me around when I was trying to get it fixed. They made a lifelong enemy and in the 26 years since then I've never even remotely considered the possibility of perhaps even looking at one. So you keep on buying them and I wish you luck.

BTW I do think the Cummins is a great engine, it's just too bad they wrap a Dodge around it .
