May flowers???
So we didn't have much in the way of Aoril showers. Will we see May flowers? Do we care?
Good morning Vermont and all you Vermont wannabes. Looks to be a gorgeous day to start a new month. 75 degrees in the forecast, and nothing but clear blue skies.
Off to the wood pile this morning before it gets warm. Almost done - maybe a cord to go to be stacked and racked for the summer.
Son-in-law's parents making their annual trek from Indiana to see the kids this weekend so Helen is in a house cleaning frenzy because we'll be hosting a BBQ here this weekend. Got to suck up all the hair from the three dogs and two cats!
Have a great Ford Truck day all.

I have just a little over 200 miles and it has been a blast. Takes a bit of getting used to the size - wide and LOOOONG but no real issues so far. Runs like a top - 17.5 MPG average according to the computer - 22 MPG on the interstate yesterday. 38 foot toyhauler coming next week so that will be the real test. 13K dry and more than anything I have ever towed before (longest before was a 26 foot 4 horse trailer with dressing room). I need to find a BIG parking lot to practice in before I head out on the road with that rig.
Anyway, so far I am thrilled.

Felt a bit like summer but the wood is all stacked and I am pooped.
The truck has the Thule Xsporter rack installed in this photo and I am waiting on some longer bolts so I can mount the hullaport pro kayak racks. I am so ready for a day away from the woodpile and yardwork. Ten acres sounds nice but when spring rolls around everything has to be done at once or it all gets away from you.
Put the first load of diesel in today. Was only down 1/3 of a tank but I like to keep my gas tanks full most of the time - cuts down on condensation. The fill up confirmed my overall 17.5 MPG so the computer appears to be very accurate. I also added the Ford diesel fuel conditioner. Most of the forums I follow suggest using it just to be on the safe side with these fussy new HPFP systems. Based on local lore I'll be buying Shell diesel at Kurrle's - they apparently do a lot of volume so I shouldn't have water issues with their tanks.
