wires to coil

Does the wire that comes from the cab (I'm guessing from the ignition switch) top the coil, go to the negative or the positive terminal on the coil?

Thanks

Joel

i don't know what vehicle you're working on, but the wire from the ignition switch would go to the positive side of the coil, and the distributor or module goes to the negative side.

Wire to the + of the coil, and this wire has a special piece of resistance wire in it if you are running the stock Ford points or duraspark system. These systems run about 9v on the coil when the engine is running.
