Looking at a 96' F350 Diesel

I recently went to look at a 1996 F350 with the 7.3 diesel. The truck is pretty clean with a few scratches here and there and has about 125k. The original owner did a few major upgrades including exhaust, Dominator 66 turbo, injectors, chip and major transmission upgrades. The truck rides great and has plenty of power but being my first diesel, I'm a little concerned with what I don't know. The current owner has only had it for a year and half and only put on a few thousand miles. He purchased the truck for his 16 year old son but thinks it has way to much power for the boy and he could wind up getting into real trouble. The current owner knows a little about the previous owner and supposedly, it was his toy and was well cared for.

I just have no idea if the truck was run at the drag strips all day long or used for some other high stress activities. I was told these motors are pretty much bullet proof but that is about it for my knowledge.

Any thoughts?

Truck is regular cab, 4x4, and has a 4" spring lift. Was asking 11K and I got him down to 9k.

Pictures would help. A nice & clean 95-97 PSD 4x4 can go for 7-10k around here and even more for a crewcab, but that's a different topic. If its clean and there's nothing wrong with it 9k would be a good price.

Thanks Parker. I will get some pictures this week. All the other trucks I looked at for the 7.3 had many more miles.
