Duraspark control module

What brand of duraspark control modules do you guys prefer? I used to only buy NAPA Echlin ignition parts but the NAPA stores around me have closed. Looking for another reliable brand.

Which 'stock one' might that be? 1974/79: There are FIVE different DuraSpark ignition modules. The wiring/plugs are all different, so none interchange.

Modules identified by a colored plastic square above where the wires feed out.

What color is yours? What color is the OP's?

Yikes -- had no idea there were so many of these. I'm going to take a photo of it tonight and see if it will work for him.

All that's needed to be known is the color of the plastic square, as otherwise...the modules look the same. Plastic square could be black - blue - brown = green - red - yellow

Yellow replaced brown / red only used on some 1976/79 CA vehicles.

1976/79: Most common is blue module that was also used well into the 1990's.

I run an actual Motorcraft unit; that's what I recommend. It's worth the extra money. The $25 units do not last as long.
