Thrush mufflers? Haven't heard of many people using these I recently bought one, $20 bucks at AdvanceAuto it's not overly loud, but you know it's there (only been there under 48 hours) But so far am happy with it, also it cured my hesitation.

Got one too. Wait a while for it to break in, it'll get louder, but not harsh.

I like them, they will get louder, but only when you are on the gas

I drive 40 miles daily (to work and back) I went to the local blocbuster (another 30miles from work) and by the time I got half way home I could already notice a difference. Great sound keeps getting better now I'm of to columbus to Devry so we'll see how it sounds today. It also cleared up my hesitation and made it more responsive.

What is so special about a "turbo" muffler? I see that term used alot in catalogues and have grown curious, as I will soon be replacing the exhaust.

basically its quieter than a straight pipe or glass pack, but keeps the un-restricted flow.

The name "turbo" muffler is derived from a muffler design. The boys a G.M. needed a better flowing muffler for their turbo charged Corvair. Today's "turbo" muffler is the basicly the same muffler design used on the turbo Corvair. Hence the name "turbo" muffler. As long as you match you exhaust diameter to your displacement and max rpms, on dual exhaust, the "turbo" muffler will work just as well as more open exhaust.
