HPOP

Got my T500 installed today. And I still have an oil leak coming from the bottom of the hpop, or at least that's where I think its coming from. I ordered it from riffraff so it came with the new gasket. What can I do to stop it from leaking. Anything else on the bottom side of the hpop that could be leaking?

Install went a lot easier then I thought it would. Changed oil at the same time and filled the hpop Res back up with oil. Turned it over for a quick sec and then it fired right off on the second time. Idled rough for a smidgen of a sec then useless smooth. I was hoping for a smoother idle but it sounds the same. I starting to think I might have an injector starting to knock. Took it for a drive and everything ran good.

Now just to get this leak fixed. And rest of them!!!

Check over your hpop lines/connections/fittings good. I have a hard time believing the new hpop is leaking, but anything is possible.

Been up and working since 5 this morning. Just now shutting it down. And of course the rain has set it. If I get time tomorrow ill have to get in there and look again. But pretty sure it's coming from the bottom side of the hpop right in the middle. I cleaned the area really good before reinstalling. And just as soon as I cranked it back up I looked and seen oil pooling in the valley under it. Didn't see any on top.

Did you by any chance forget the O ring on the IPR? Its going to take awhile to get the air out of the lines so the idle will be rough.

I bought it from riffraff. So unless the wrong gasket came with it should be right. It looked like the same on that came off the truck.

I reused the old ipr in which I'd just put new orings on it not to long ago and everything still looked good.

No I didn't strip the bolts. They are torqued to a half a grunt.

If your positive that the two high pressure hoses aren't leaking and IPR isn't leaking then maybe its the bolt on the bottom of the HPOP leaking. Joey might have screwed up, slim chance of it though. When I put one on once I overtighten the one hose and cracked the flange on the hose fitting and it leaked. I had to replace the hose.

So cleaned the valley up. And started the truck. No oil. Found out I do have a drip on a fuel line connection at the regulator though, which is right above the hpop. Starting to no like these push lock connectors. Banjo bolt might have a bit of a leak too. But I got to thinking. The oil I seen puddling up might have been from filling up the hpop Res. Let the truck idle for 10 mins or so and I don't see anything. Took the truck driving. Maybe 20-30 miles round trip and looked again and there is a puddle in the first area under the hpop.

It looks like oil but could be fuel that's just turned black. Ill look into it further when I get a chance. Grrrrrrr. I hate leaks!!!!!!

Ill have to say one thing though. I wouldn't say the truck runs or drives better then it did before. And if it "smooths" out in another 20-30 miles ill be surprised. The truck is just running the sane as it did before. So I must not had got much air in it to speak of.
