Please help with my pick & pull addiction
Is it bad when I feel the urge to go everyday so I don't miss out on a new find?
Want/ need to stay home to install the stuff I already scavenged but feel the need to hurry back to the yard before some other addict beats me to something I need/want.

oh for F sake. . .find it offensive?
leave it to a guy who only sees white people everywhere he goes to find a fact offensive.
newsflash: you pick you pull jy's in many other parts of the country (there are other parts of the country, and they arent all like your flowery corner) are filled with people that are picked up, and dropped off at said pick-n-pull jy's by garage owners (and the like) to pick dirt cheap parts for their customers, or hot items to sell. hence, leaving guys who can only go on weekends to deal with the leftovers. there are parts of the country where the majority of those people picked up are hispanic in origin and are standing in certain places, well known to those who use them, to be picked up for cash work. the fact that this practice is allowed to go down should be offensive to you, youre paying for it.
facts arent offensive. a necessary statement? debatable. offensive? no.

my motto is: squeeze first ask questions later, and duplicates get sold. there is also a list of items that i'll pull even if im not using them. the pick-n-pulls have been very generous to me over the years. i try to hit them a couple times a month, but man i wish i could go more. . .ive lost out on sooooo much more than i've gotten.
i've literally had bad dreams of the parts that i've lost or didnt find in time.
i once disassembled an old pettibone for it's p-pump 4bt. it was an early '80's model, had 4 flat tires, turbo and manifold had been picked, hydraulic fluid everywhere, and was rusty as hell. had seat belts hooked up for hoist and was 4 bolts (motor mount and bellhousing) away from calling the guy over to crane it out, when he came and said "yo man we still use that thing!". they said i couldnt take it, and they were going to call in a mechanic to put it back together (good luck with that) - - - about 3 months later i got it
