If you cant find one with the spare tire indent, one thing that has been discussed on here before is that you can make your own from a stock fender. From what I understand is that you make the cutout in the fender (making sure it is symmetrical), turn the piece you cut out around, and weld it back in. Pretty simple as long as your are set up to weld sheetmetal. I have not done it yet, but I am planning on using this technique for the fender on my F-3
No, I am not sure what Bill means there? He confused me too. Also remember that you will need the spare tire holder, and an angle bracket that bolts to the bed flare.

Ford not only replaced all the 1953/56 rear fenders with 1957 rear fenders but also replaced the 1953/56 bedsides, tailgates and front panels with 1957 parts.

I must be a little slow today. Aren't flareside fenders the same from 53-72?
I know the the fenders sat up a little higher on the bed sides in the 57-72 flaresides but aren't the F-100 tailgates the same for F-100's from 53-72?
The 57 part number is for a fender that has been changed from the 53-56 style. The 57 part number fender for argument sake is the same except where the running board bolt up.
The 53-56 fender only has one row of holes for the running board to attach and if you look at the 57 fender it has a reinforcement panel on the inside of the fender with 2 rows of holes.
If using the fender on the 53-56 trucks you would drill thru the bottom row
If using the fender on a 57 and up you would drill thru the upper row
I can spot a 57 and up fender a mile away, and most fenders on these trucks have been replaced with the 57 part number fender
I believe he's saying that service replacement fenders are the 57-on units. As I recall, you also would have to re-drill the box's fender mounting holes, since they were different?
