Best Chains for a 4x2 for snow
I recently had to use snow chains on my Ex while in Colorado. I used the standard link chain type. They worked wonderfully. I couldn't buy tensioners, but I was able to snug them up enough to not have any problems with them hitting the wheel well at all. By the way, I'm running stock sized tires on it too. I needed only to chain up the front end and was able to get around where I wanted. In years past I've used the cable type chains partly because I was told the cable chains were better for the radial tires. Both enabled me to travel in the snow and ice without any problems. You may want to check with an authority on which to use for your tires. I'm definitely not an authority... Check out my gallery, I've posted a couple of pictures.
