a little pressure: a good thing?

Has anyone ever used one of these or a similar kit on an F-Series/Bronco?

Twin Turbo TT Ford Mustang 260 289 302 351 5 0L Kit Fox Body Huge Package Race | eBay

And if so was a good or bad idea? I know these kits, when used on Mustangs, are typically for race applications at higher RPM engines but could one not be set up for use on a lower RPM band (read truck, low-end torque)?

The main item you would have to change would be the size/style of turbos used. A turbo with a smaller turbine and/or larger compressor so that it will build boost as soon as possible but not over boost the engine. You would still have to build the engine to take best advantage of the turbo or be limited to say 10 lbs of boost with a stock 302/351 truck engine. The truck engines did not get forged pistons like the 302HO did in the Mustangs.

A better way to make power on a truck is a supercharger. I have seen the Paxton style used on a truck with good results. The positive displacement style also works well. This is the type used on the 2002-2004 Lighting PU's.
