4x4 on the floor INNER shift boot
HELP! I tried some time ago but will ask again for help on this issue. I have a 2001 F150 with the 4x4 on the floor. There are two boots - an inner (a neoprene type material with several round pleats to allow the boot to be flexible) and the outer - black accordion that we see in the cab. My inner is the one that is shot. I have contacted the dealer and the part that FORD is now showing as the replacement is not even close. Mounting bolt holes way to far apart and the 4 screw holes for the outer boot to mount to are not even there. I ordered this boot from LMC thinking they might have an older part part that would fit unfortunately, it is the same part as the dealer is selling. SURELY, I am not the only one with this boot in a defective state. IF anyone has found the real replacement part please let me know where/from whom you got it and what was the part, item or order number as I really would like to replace it asap. THANKS again for any help.

Sorry I can't help ya, but I will give you a bump to the top.
You might try going to a good salvage yard that has the good, interchange, crossover books. They usually give the vehicles that interchange and I believe that they give the original part number as well. Might get you in the right direction.
