Anyone have any experience/recommendations for lower cost double DIN in dash dvd/GPS units? Looks like Lanzar and Pyls both have some for cheap, but the reviews are pretty unfavorable.
Probably be smarter to get a new phone, which I need anyway, with GPS and just get a new stereo?
And last, anyone know of any double din multi disc changers to replace the factory Ford one I have that doesn' twork?

I have a Pyle double din. The only 2 complaints I have with the unit is.
1. Poor direction for install and how to operate the unit.
2. When the unit turns on the volume goes to 10 which is pretty loud.
I bought the Pyle from Amzon.
I would buy it again.

 

Which one did you get? I have three of the Pyles saved in my cart on Amazon, different models.

That's the flippy-down face one? What made you choose that one over the other two? (695 or 651)

 

Because with the flip down face. You don't get the sun glare for the dvd.
You can adjust it.

 

Oh, it is adjustable? Is it a pain to drop it every time to change the cd? Seems like something that would wear out on a cheapy like these. But I am not going to jump up in price to the next point, which seems like $400-$500.

Nope, you just push the button drop the face insert the cd or dvd

Yes, also has bluetooth and hookup for iphone and sd card slot for pics or music.
