Looking at TransferFlow 46 gallon tank

I hear the Titan tank has a seepage issue when filled too much...

Does anyone have any opinions on the TransferFlow vs. the Titan?

I know the Titan is less money but is plastic vs. stainless...

The TransferFlow through XPD Diesel is $1129 with free shipping and the Titan is $1178 with free shipping. The Titan is a 51 gallon, however...

Thanks in advance,
Alan from San Diego

The reason for more capacity with us San Diego guys is that we can go over the border and get fuel for about $1.25 per gallon less than US- AND its US diesel (because of NAFTA ). The fuel is from San Pedro

So it will eliminate a bunch of trips with the higher capacity. And we also have the Sentri cards, which is a "fast-pass" re-entry so we dont wait in long lines coming back across

I can't speak directly to the 46 gallon tank which I believe is a replacement for your original tank. I do have a 50 gallon Transfer Flow tank in the bed which gives me a total capacity of 75+ gallons which is great for us as we tow a fifth wheel and get 10-11 mpg.

Everything about Transfer Flow is first class whether it is the technical support or the equipment. My tank has an automatic fill mechanism so I don't have to worry about overfilling the original tank. It just transfers a few gallons at a time as the main tank is depleted.

I bought mine used for $400 and since it came from a Dodge, I needed a Ford programmed "brain" and some other stuff which I got from Transfer Flow for less than $200 and a lot of technical support - they actually answer their telephone. A couple of skinned knuckles later, it was installed and has worked flawlessly ever since.

Thats a whole lota tank, would you have to modify any thing in its way? so longer, wider, and deeper I would assume.

I did not have to modify anything, bolted to the factory locations, factory gauge works.
