302 Swap '84 Ranger 4x4
hey guys,
im thinking about doing a 302 swap on my ranger, well i am already in the process of building the motor, but i am trying to figure out what tranny/t-case would work best on the truck and also if i should run manifolds, shorty headers or what.... i was thinking about just yanking a tranny/t-case out of a like low to mid 90's f-150 any other options out there..any info will greatly help me in this process

That's the usual combo but think a later trans has a better location of the shifter, puts it closer to the stock one. Avoid the 1356 for fitment problems. Headers are always problem with the 4x4's. How built up is the motor? The stock cast iron Explorer manifolds might be a cheap and easy fit.
