Hello,

Are there any instructions or such available for how to remove the door panels on a 2006 Expedition? Front and back?

I'm not sure where the hold-down screws are in a 2006, but when you do find and remove them, the panel lifts up and out away from the door. If you try pulling it straight out you will break the plastic panel hangers. So watch for that.

 

Two torx head screws behind an oval panel under the grab handles, two bolts on bottom of panel. Panel pops away from door in a few places then lifts at the window channel.

I got one rear panel off. There's a few additional steps I'll note for anyone doing this in the future.

Pop off the cover around the door handle.
Pop off the cover/small panel that the window switch is in.
Disconnect the window switch from the harness.
Then the torx screws and bottom screws as noted.
Also a screw on the side of the door panel towards the top outside edge.
Then it pops up and out.

The only casualty is one of the tabs on the door handle cover broke off.

I'll be doing the other rear door and one front door, which I expect will have some differences.
