Hello, Looking into the towing capacity for a 2006 Harley Davidson Edition. Has anyone come across an issue with mixed information? My owners manual states that I can only tow 5600 but if I go on-line to a tech manual it says I can tow 8800. I just can not believe that Ford & Harley Davidson would get together and build a truck that can not tow.

Any information would be much welcome. Thanks to Powerstroke72 for pointing me in the right direction. New to this forum and posted in the wrong place.

Hi the online tech manual most likely is for a regualar f150, i know the lightnings and early harley trucks had reduced towing capacity due to suspension and tires i believe. Does it have like over 20 inch tires? do these have superchargers?

4x2 or 4x4?

The information I found online shows 8,800 for a 4x2 and 8,600 for a 4x4.

hi i found this says harely is 5300 for 2wd and 5300 for 4wd, the 8800 is base truck with 17 inch wheels, then 500 less if have 18's or 20s.
