Now that the frame is completely clear of everything, I need to disconnect the shackles and get the frame free so I can clean it, blast it, and Por-15 it.

What is the easiest way to disconnect them and still support the frame but not have the springs flying all over the place once the bolts are removed?

 

with the frame supported at 4 points directly after the spring pack mounting points that fall towards the center of the truck .. jack up until the tires are off the ground .. remove all spring pack mounting bolts .. roll the axles (spring pack and all) out and away from each end of the truck
