info on 2014 6.2L gas engines?
When can we expect info on the 6.2l changes if any for the 2014 model year?
I read in another post the order guides are due shortly and that the ordering starts may 15th. Being three years already I would think they would bump up the hp/tq a little.
Maybe an improvement in fuel economy? I thought I read somewhere that they will have to post fuel economy ratings on the 2014s? or did i just imagine that.

Wow, you ain't kiddin' about that. Pretty much zero differences. Looks like I'm keeping my truck at least one more year.

Kinda bums me. I want one in the 2014 M/Y. Was hoping they'd be in a hurry to bump it up or add a new one with the Eco technology maybe. Don't the mileage standards for the big trucks kick in soon? come on Ford! More valves? Direct injection? New mapping? Nothing?!!!! Looks like if I get one they force me into ordering to get the 4:30 gears for sure, and possibly tuning it as well. I have a commuter car, so I only use my truck for towing RV, and hauling stuff, and I don't really want a diesel. You s'pose they're still testing the next move, and they're not quite ready yet?

Apparently, the big changes to the F-series lineup are coming for the 2015 model year. Meaning, information about them will likely start to trickle out towards the end of this year.
If I had to guess, I wouldn't expect major changes to the drivetrain for the Super Duty anyway. The 6.2L will probably pick up direct injection and some new tuning, which in turn will lead to a slight HP/TQ bump. The 6.7L will probably get some new tuning and other minor changes.
With that said, if they do make a major drivetrain change, it would probably be the addition of another engine option, likely for better fuel economy. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a version of their new 3.2L Powerstroke under the Super Duty's hood. Not everyone needs the expense and power of the 6.7L. More likely, they'll probably just offer a version of the 5.0L or 3.5L Ecoboost, just like they used to offer the 5.4L.

I hear 2016 for the next gen. Super Duty at the earliest. It looks like it is still pretty early in development. This was a topic on another thread.
Seems that almost nothing is known about the next Super Duty, though I heard sketchy rumors there could be some controversial changes. No idea as of yet what they might be.
Someone has to know something!
