Thanks... I really appreciate this. Anything that shows how you mounted the rad, as well as how much room you have to the engine would be great. It sounds like you have almost the same setup as I have.

I have cut the support as far forward as I can & still dont have as much room as others have said, so a pic of what I am missing would be great.

Thanks!

radiator pictures

cyclone 429 i took pictures of my truck for you. i do not know how to post them. can you post your email or number and i can text them to you. i used a march pulley on the water pump and a one inch spacer before the fan. one of the photos has a part number on it. i think i got it from napa. i have 3/4 of an inch between the fan and radiator. the fan is a standard engine driven fan but has no clutch. not much room. i used a griffin aluminum radiator. that wasnt cheap. i spaced the radiator as far forward as i could. i used 1 1/4 inch box tube as a spacer to push it forward. good luck hope it helps. my email is belotemdfd@hotmail.com sam

I got the pics. I can see where your core is compared to the mounting bracket, & I think I actually have about an extra 1/2" more than you do. I really like the shroud you have. Looks like I will be installing a solid drive fan this summer if needed.

Do you mind if I post them here for all to see?

Thanks again!

Ok so my opinion is wait and see, I just did this swap as I was tired of fixing my rad from launching my fan into it.lol Expensive. Anyway I purchase my rad from Champion Radiator and purchased a ford contour fan set up from Rock auto and then grabbed the relays and fuse set ups from the local wreckers and then wired it like so, Fans come on at 185* for low and then I flip a toggle switch for high so that way I can control when it draws heavy. Seems to work well and I have no issues with overheating.
