thanks!

and plenty of reasons, for 8 lug, limited slip, 4:10s, front disk brakes, heavier springs in front. since i been planning on putting in a diesel for a while, and plus i got a really good deal on everything!

You're going to turbocharge it, right? Why not run an overdrive to help on the mileage? It will be poor with 4.10's and a non lockup direct drive transmission.

What about a set of 3.54 gears? I guess it would be better off the line with 4.10's.

Not exactly sure yet. When it's time for a turbo ill see what kits i can find for cheap, if not ill make one with the extra turbo from my 7.3 powerstroke.

Just picked up my transmission. It's a c6 like I was looking for. It came from a old ranch truck and appears to be in good shape, fluid looks good and torque converter looks new/newer and fluid in there looks great too. Once I get it in im gonna change the filter and pan gasket.

Basically all is need now is a flexplate so I can get this trans bolted to motor and set in truck to make my mounts!

Anyone have a flexplate that they sell?

It looks to Me like Your engine had a 5 or 4 speed transmission fly wheel on it. I not sure that will work with the flexplate.<O</O
The automatic fly wheels are not that hard to find but the flexplate is the part that will crack. Ford at the time I needed one only sold them as a set and it was big money.
