Can anyone confirm that this is the stock tracbar bracket. I tried installing a Tuff Country extension bracket and it didn't fit so I wanted to confirm whats there isn't aftermarket before I try to return it.
It do look close, but mine is beveled up top .... mine is factory on my '77 F150 4x4. This pic shows my 78/79 style pittman arm, and it's before I swapped in a new drag link and Red Head Steering box last year.
looks OK but something is different! as long as the width for track bar is good looks stout enough. I have built trac bar bracket before and no problems.
The lift was kinda halfassed so I was trying to finish it up. I thought the tracbar was just put to the stock location. Nothing had been done to address the camber when I got it so I figured they didn't do anything but springs, blocks, and shocks.
Plenty familiar with bump steer from my old jeep. I'm pretty sure the pitman arm is stock and the trac bar angle is close. I haven't had any issues with bump steer but the axle looks like its being pulled to the driver side a little bit.
