The truck I'm getting has been sitting on the lot and I'm going to change the oil in it, what I'm wondering is should I replace the 5w20 again with 5w20 for 7500 miles for break period or just go to full synthetic oil. Would the full synthetic not let the engine seat the rings and other moving parts.

Reading this post in the 6.7 forums I guess it shouldn't matter.

I just bought the Motorcraft 5w-20 Semi-Syn (synthetic blend) from WalMart and the FL-820s filter, I'm going to go that route with this truck. Been a long time M1 user. But, everything I read says this a good oil and filter.
