steering column

Guys I'm in need of a good automatic steering column, all I can find are ones that are needing rebuilt....I need one for a 78 f100 2wdwd no Power steering . If anyone has a decent one laying around that they would be reasonable on the price I'd definatly be interested

when you say "needing rebuilt" what exactly do you mean? There isn't much to these columns and I just took mine completely apart today, cleaned it, painted it and put in a new turn signal switch and harness.

What else is there?

If it's because of the shift collar worn at the pivot pin for the shift lever, it's a replaceable part .... I have a new one I need to install in my '77 sometime because the hole for the pin is worn enough that most of available travel is taken by slop.

Dorman has them, and you can find OEM sometimes on Ebay.
