Buying a 1985 F350 with a 460. Going to remove the 460 and put in my Banks turboed 6.9 diesel. Truck has factory cruise on it and from everything Ive been reading there are no cruise specific parts for the 6.9. Can anyone confirm this or has anyone done this? Iam going to be doing some long distance with this truck so I really want crusie control this maybe a deal breaker on weather or not I buy this truck. As Iam disappointed to find out I will need to find a junkyard manual tranny to do the swap. As my donor truck has the c6 in it and I don't want to reuse it Id rather have the manual. Also its only a 2x4 and I need to convert it to 4x4 so Iam already looking at more work then I want so if I cant have my cruise control Ill probably just keep looking for an easier project.

 

From what I have been told it would be easier to keep looking 4x2 is really a pain in the a$$ to convert from what I have heard I am going to be doing it anyway but I know it's not going to be easy cruise might work that way if the cruise works at all
