74 F100 Radius Arms and brackets

Couple questions. My left side radius arm bushing, the front piece is totally missing.

Can the bushing missing lead to wallowing out of the bracket hole that the arm rests in and is there a solution if this happens?

On my 77 F150 it looks like the radius arm bracket at the frame is of a little different design than on the 74 F100? Especially one of the rivets on the 74 being located right above where the arm is and gives very little clearance. I ask about this because it looks like a preferred method to change the bushings is to drop the radius arm bracket from the frame and you have to grind off/drill out rivets.

Yes, the missing bushing can wallow out the radius arm hole in the bracket.
The way the bushings are changed is to remove the radius arm. Leave the bracket in place.
Some people "force" the axle forward to pull the arm out of the bracket but I prefer to drop the axle.

Anyone know if the bracket (riveted to the frame) is the same for 1977 2wd and 1974 2wd?

According to the Ford parts catalog 73-78 F100-250 2WD use the same brackets.

Yeah that's the one I'm talking about. Ford lists it as "Bracket, front suspension radius arm mounting"
The part numbers are (RH) D8TZ-3B095-C, (LH) D8TZ-3B095-D. You'll notice the P/N start with "D8" so I would say that there was a design change over the years, but the later ones are listed as the replacement parts for the earlier models.
The '79 model took different brackets with the RH part number being listed as superseding the right hand D8 part number.

Thanks Mike,
The ones on my 77 F-150 - the left side had all bolts and the right side had like two bolts and two rivets.

On my 74, pretty sure I have one bolt and three rivets on both sides. But interestingly, the rivets are in different places and the brackets are slightly different designs.

I'll get pics.

Thanks RedRoad. My trucks are both 2WD - might be different from the 4WD ones you showed in the pics, not sure.

Yup, 4WD brackets show a different part number from 2WD.
