1997 F250HD Radiator Cap # lbs?
Greetings,
I have a 1997 F 250 Heavy Duty 7.5L 460 c.i. with Super Cooling system. The radiator pressure cap is a 16lb. Motorcraft RS-83 which I cannot find anywhere. The local dealer tried getting one from across the country and it turned out to be a plastic screw on type when I need the old metal style with the spring. The dealer wants me to use a 13lb cap with a newer part #.
I was originally just trying to get a Motorcraft replacement because I don't like Chinese aftermarket parts. Now I have a couple of questions for everyone here:
How many lbs. radiator cap did everyone else originally have with this same truck with super cooling and 460 gas engine? How about now? Same problem?
Does the same year (1997) 7.3L diesel have a 16lb pressure cap that I can substitute here?
Thanks,
Jason

Update
I confirmed that the Super Cooling package on this truck is supposed to have a 16lb. radiator cap via some pals in Dearborn. I picked up a Motorad but I can tell instantly it's cheap Chinese junk. I ended up through a Google search, on the Ford parts website where I was able to place an order for a Motorcraft RS-83. The # is superseded to an RS-90. End of story, thanks for the help!
