Shocks
#2
I'm really digging the adjustability of the Rancho RS9000XL I installed a few weeks ago. Definite noticeable improvement over the stockers, and there is a definite difference between the settings I run unloaded (4 up front, 3 in rear) and loaded (7 up front, 9 in rear). I will continue to try different setting combinations just to make sure I try them all, but that's one of the luxuries of them.

I also need a set of shocks and have been considering the yellow-tubes. But maybe I'll look elsewhere...
I'm in the rust-belt, and I've heard the adjusters on the 9000's are prone to seizing.

I agree with a lot of the above. Bilstein has had a bad track record f performance and customer service as of late.
Also, the 9000s do sieze after a while. Even here in CA.
The Rancho 7000MTs are a great compromise from the 5000 and 9000. I was given as set to run and test. They have been great. They are a little on the stuff side, but that's the point of an off road shock.

I run a dual bilstein 5100 setup up front and single rear 5100s outback and I love them!!! I wouldn't change them for anything! Get in touch with cary towrey with ct performance

Just run any quality shock and change them with every new set of tires. They all wear out fairly quickly it's just gradual so you don't notice until it gets bad. I have Procomps on one truck and Bilstiens on the other. I like the ride of the procomps better but it is much heavier than the other truck.
