I just bought a really nice 1990 Bronco XLT, and the only problem with it is that the drivers side seat is broken. I looked around online and could not find a replacement. I called a few junk yards, and didnt have much luck.. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can fix it? The problem is the back is kinda broken, and when i sit in it, the back "reclines".. I feel like a gangster when i drive it, as it makes me sit WAY back.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It really depends on where exactly it is broken. You will have to disassemble it to see. More than likely one of the plates that connect the back to the bottom has just came loose. If you just pull the material back you will probably have a better idea.

For a cheap replacement try checking over on fullsizebronco for someone putting in new seats and see if you can snag one of the seats they are replacing.

 

It's probably a weld and forget thing, take the seat out and turn it over, there will probably be a crack near the pivot point were the backrest folds.

 

Seats from any F-series (1/2 through 1 ton) of similar vintage will swap in easily. Unless it ends up being a simple fix swapping won't hurt a thing.
